Stirling Silver Hei Tiki (Groove-Type).

This Hei Tiki has been cast into Stirling Silver from a Whalebone Hei Tiki that I hand-carved. I have then blackened the low-lying spots with Liver of Sulfer, and polished the high points. This is the contrast you can see.

I wanted to create a line of Hei Tiki that is more affordable than a bespoke, commissioned piece, and as a result, this Taonga is roughly 3x cheaper than if I were to carve the same thing in Whalebone.

My hope is that with a more accessible line of Hei Tiki, people will be able to share Taonga with their loved ones more easily.
